Ben and Jessa are working on their wedding invitations and asked her older brother who is a graphic designer as a hobby to help. Mackynzie and Michael designs their own invitations to show their aunt and uncle with using construction paper and Popsicle sticks. Josh gives them a few options to Ben and Jessa and they chose their favorites.
At the Dillard's house, Jill gets dessert and a care package to give it to Derick's mom who is leaving for Nebraska for five weeks to make sure that her cancer won't return.
Jim Bob and John David head out to do a ride along and things don't go well when Jim Bob doesn't listen. John-David was called to be constable in January 2013 and enjoys his job. John David helps an officer who had pulled someone at the gas station. John wants his father to stay in the car and he did not listen as he goes into buy some food. Jim Bob reveals that he loved spending time with his second oldest son.
"It looks like you got out of the car," says John, jokingly. "We've got to keep our strength up," responds Jim Bob, holding a package of donuts and two bottles of Gatorade.
