I am sorry for all of the confusion and frustration surrounding Josh Duggar. I want to just express my sorrow for you having to go through all of this publicly. One thing though I would just like to mention is that I understand that you have dealt with this as a family and that is wonderful to hear. So that is good. I just want to share a different point of view... To just tell you a little about my story of how I was molested by a cousin that wasn't much older than I. I don't know where it started exactly but it slowly progressed into more and more inappropriate touching and ended up being something very hard for myself and other family members involved. While there are different severities of abuse I think that it would be kind to keep in mind that there are family members where this does happen and it isn't a simple thing that one might not remember. It can be scarring and sad and the outcome isn't as good as your family has experienced. I think that is where some people find hurt in finding your situation not impacting on the victims' lives. Because if steps weren't taken it could very easily turned different and also because it makes light of the seriousness of touching genitals and what that can progress to. So I understand that privacy is a subject that should be broached but also don't minimize the molestation. It just is frustrating when I have to face those misconceptions and explain: well it wasn't just pubescent curiosity it was molestation in my case. It isn't a great thing to continually prove and it makes it more difficult when you are a public family saying it didn't impact the victims in your case. It kind of indicates that victims might not be affected which isn't always true.
