Derick and Jill's birth plan!

Derick and Jill are planning to have a home birth for their little baby that they should be finding out the gender soon. Derick and Jill sat down and just wrote out some bible verses that will be read to Jill when she delivers in March.

Checking in with Josie Duggar

Josie is doing so well; she’ll be five years old in December. It’s coming up so quickly! She’s working on phonics and starting violin lessons -- and she is just so excited about being such a big girl. She’s even riding a bike without training wheels.

The other day, we had one of her doctors and his wife over to the house for dinner. He was the one that actually delivered her when we were at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). The night before they came over, I told Josie, "Tomorrow evening we are going to have the doctor over who delivered you. God used him to save your life and my life. The skills that he learned in school, and all of the training that he got, allowed him to sustain your life and mine." I wanted her to know what a blessing it is and how grateful we are for all the doctors and nurses that took care of us.

When they arrived at the door the next day, you would have thought that it was the President of the United States coming in. As they were pulling into the driveway, Josie was standing at the window, jumping up and down looking for them. The minute her doctor stepped foot through the door, she hugged his leg and didn’t let go of him the whole time he was here. He picked her up and she hugged his neck, kissed him on the cheek and just would not let go.

He was grinning because he said this was really the joy of his work. This was the result of all those hours of work and he was just delighted to see how well she’s doing.

So, yes, Josie is doing miraculously well. You look at her and you’d never know there was anything different at the beginning of her life. She is excelling. She sings all the time; she has a song in her heart and if she doesn’t know the words, she just makes them up. It is so sweet to see this little one with so much joy and energy and love for life. I’m just so grateful to God and for all the prayers of our friends out there.

I still meet people to this day that say, "I prayed for that little girl." And Josie will go up and give them a heartfelt hug. We have such gratitude in our hearts that she’s here and we don’t take for granted a day that we get with her. It makes you look at all of your other relationships so differently and appreciate the time that you’ve got with the kids. They grow up so fast. We realize that even more at this stage in life.

Duggar Decorate and Diet recap

Michelle has Jessa and Joy help her fix reupholstering their stools. Michelle reveals that it won't be likely that her kids will have more children then she has but it's not totally impossible.


Josh and Anna are welcoming Steve Conley who helped both Josh and Jim Bob last year. Steve wants to check in with Josh's diet and exercising. Josh reveals that with moving that he went back to his old ways while Anna reveals that she normally gives healthier meals than biscuits and gravy with Bacon, Eggs and sausage.

Steve looks in the kitchen and finds a lot of unhealthy snacks. He decides that he is going to take the family to a marked and stock up with fruits and veggies. Steve decides to give a game for both Mackynzie and Michael has them pick up foods with the descriptions that he gives them.

Jinger and Jessa head to take engagement photos of Derick and Jill. Jessa is there to help Jinger and make sure that the wardrobe is okay.

Derick and Jill revealed that saving their physical side of their relationship for their next step gives them incentive not to have a long engagement.

Last week, the family builds a soap box derby cars and Jim Bob and the kids decided to decorate the outside.

Derick and Jill head to buy their wedding bands from White Jewelry which is the same place that Jim Bob and Michelle brought their wedding rings from about 30 years ago.


Ben is the only none Duggar child to live on the family property. Ben knows that he has responsibilities before God and to Jessa's dad not make any mistakes.

Jessa reveals that one of the bad things about her boyfriend living so close to their home that she has to look her best.

It's time for Ben's first day of work and Jim Bob sends John David to work with him. They are set to fix the fence however they did not have the right supplies and the boys get a box of donuts. The next job is to put windows. Ben reveals that this is all new to him. Jessa reveals that it would be nice to have a handy husband while Ben thinks that it's not necessity and that other guys have different strengths in areas.

The last thing for Ben's jobs list is to clean the bathrooms. John David reveals that the only reason that his father allowed him to move is to prepared him to support Jessa and any kids that they will have.

Grandma and Michelle take Joy Anna and many of the little kids to paint pottery for Derick and Jill. Jackson is excited about the wedding. Joy reveals that it sad to watch her older sister move out since they are buddies and slept in the same room many years.
