ReplyDeleteOk, this was my original comment. Now I just read Kendra has been charged. So it seems like she knew and kept this secret, plus allowed him to be around their own children? If so, no sympathy! Praying for the victims on this, which are all the children involved.
DeleteI’m going to add to my first reply to say that these women have to stop being told they need to stay married to these men no matter what. I am a Christian and in this case, divorce is acceptable with God. Whoever is telling these women to stay regardless of this horrific abuse needs to read the Bible!

It should be a 50 page Doc warning woman about his sons…. It’s such a shame I seriously pray for this family and all the children…. Something is definitely strange in this family… pray for the remaining children under their roof.. DeleteCrimes have ripple effects. The victim has the worst consequences for a crime she is totally innocent of, and our prayers first go out to her.
DeleteBut Joe’s actions also negatively impact his family, extended family, friends, community, and —because of their long-running show and media presence — their longtime viewers. It is painful and shocking to see anyone you believed to be good suddenly confessing to evil and vile actions. I think Justine and other fans have every right to feel shocked, hurt, betrayed, and saddened. We should feel that way when wrongdoing is uncovered.
Not all children are good. Wake up people. I was a young child and witnessed another young child being raped by pre-teens! I’m tired of people believing all children are good and never lie!! True victims do not want things publicized. Prayers for the Duggar family.

DeleteShe told her father (after six years of likely wrestling with fear), her father called Joe and got a confession, then the father went to the police. The police rightly arrested Joesph and he is being held for trial.
The POLICE publicized the details, which I personally believe is wrong and should have been reserved for trial to protect the minor’s story. It is wrong for the intimate details to be shared by the police and then splashed all over the internet and on every news source. That is 100% the fault of the authorities and news agencies, not the fault of the young victim.
