Recap: Cousin Amy's two hour special

Tonight on 19 Kids and Counting, "A Big Announcement" & "A Duggar Leaves Home"...

Amy is the oldest grandchild of Grandma Duggar and since she is the only child of Deanna (Jim Bob's sister) has a special relationship with all of her nineteen cousins. Grandma Duggar jokes about how Amy was her favorite until Josh was born but then admits that Amy is one of her favorites. Jana thinks that her cousin is lonely and admits that they would be happy to take her in as their older sister. Jill reveals that Amy is the prefect combination between spunk and entertainment.

Amy reveals that she did not get into trouble that much however she admited that she bent the rules. Amy reveals that her mom and dad had issues in their relationship however lived separately until they said I do when she turned 19 years old. Amy was always caught in the middle during the tension between her parents. She revealed that it just made her a strong person.

The duggars shared moments that they experience with Amy. Amy heads over to the family house to make the big announcement.  Amy reveals that she is heading to Nashville since she wants to purse to her musical career. She admits that she wanted to get her family approval before moving there. Jim Bob gives her advice to follow the lord and reminds her that there is a lot of girls that look up to her. The family prays over her and gives her a farewell for now.

Amy reveals that she was working as a nanny to 30 different family. Amy loads up for a two week stay in Nashiville along with Grandma duggar and Deanna Duggar (her mom) Amy doesn't know what she is doing but is excited to see where it's going.

Amy meets with her music producer where she gets a tour. One of her friends accompanies on a guiltar while she sings on a street corner. She was not really comfortable with it. On her first night performance, she doesn't have the best start but the crowd is giving her the great support and she is able to finally pull it off.

As the show ends today, Amy reflects on her time in Nashille and admits that is where she wants to be.
