Josh to sue in Touch Weekly!

Josh Duggar has filled a lawsuit against In Touch Weekly on Thursday, July 6th. Josh is not the first Duggar to sue In Touch weekly as Joy, Jinger, Jessa and Jill announced their lawsuit in late May.

Josh revealed that he had to get security to protect his family from the death threats that he was getting. At the time that they were getting investigations into his touching his sisters. He along with his parents were promised that the report would never go public.

He says the poorly redacted reports contain identifying information including his and both of his parents’ names, the family’s address, and clearly identified one of the alleged victims as his then-5-year-old sister.

Josh Duggar seeks punitive damages for invasion of privacy, outrage, due process violations and emotional, mental and psychological distress.

We will keep you updated on this lawsuit!

  1. I just lost respect for Josh! I have been a staunch supporter of his, claiming that sometimes young boys make bad mistakes. But then he continued with these behaviors as an adult and now he is suing for money instead of facing the consequences for his actions. I can't get behind that!

    1. This is the first time that Josh has filed a lawsuit of his own. Josh has also gone to get help for what he has done. He has made amends to the people that he hurt by both cases that he has done.

    3. Josh did wrong as a child. He was taken to task as a youth, not an adult. In Touch inflamed the nation with its lust for blood. But Josh continued to do wrong, proving he needed help. It looks he is getting that I support the suit, for the sake of his wife and family. The real scoundrels here are the media and their lust to destroy. Prayers up.

    4. He SHOULD sue the magazine. He made a terrible mistake as a VERY young man, and yes, was unfaithful to his wife, and that was wrong. BUT, how many of us have things in our past that we are deeply ashamed of? Come on now! Give the guy some grace! It's none of our business.

  2. good I'm glad. these papers need to be sued when they print information that isn't supposed to be printed and harrass people and their families. so sorry your family has had to go through all of it. even the personal stuff. That is between a husband and a wife. you didn't need everyone in the country's imput on how to handle the situation. Love your family and Hope God blessess you even more every day.

  4. NEVER should of this gone public. This was a family thing. To be resolved by the family. But the world we live in are hungry to destroy people. Once the words are out you can never take them back. I just want to say Thank you JESUS that you died for our sins. NOT ONE of us or them would make it to heaven. Sorry this happened to a family that is trying to show the world what a real Jesus believing family even't looks like.

    1. Then why do a Reality Show...Promote Christ?Money? In doing a reality show full disclosure should be a given because whatever you try to hide will come out because as you stated the world in which we live are eager to destroy people

  6. I wish him the best of luck. Josh is a good man. He was young at the time, there is no excuse as to what he did. But leave it alone and move forward. Good luck josh to you and your family.

  7. I'm glad he is suing the paper. I'm glad he received help. I'm happy for Josh and Anna and the whole Duggar family. They've shown how to go on after sin, how to forgive and show grace.

  8. He did have a terrible problem ad a young man.You need to forgive what he didn't know that it was wrong at such a young age,at that age parent's have not had the talk with him.Trust me it happens. My mom never told me anything. When I married was the first time I saw a naked man.I was repulsing. When he cheated,it was wrong, but he was acting out not to say he wasn't wrong.HE went for treatment and went back to his family. Talc was wrong by cancelling the show. All that's on that is not a sluty show you could count on not even 5 fingers
So TALC shape up bring 19kids and counting back and address the birds and bees with the younger kids.Use this as a platform for our youth.Trust me for what I didn't learn I taught my children. Back then their was a company that sold a set of books that showed the circle of life for younger kids. Go

  9. Josh was an adult when the report was filed due to Oprah calling DPS. The Duggars lawyered up and now the victimizer wants to sue bc he has been exposed? Or have the nerve to join his victims in suit?!?! This is insane. For once, man up Josh.

    1. Nunya,
Josh was a minor when the whole thing happen. It says in the report. As far as he is concerned, he has the right to sue. In touch was in the wrong to release the police report. Everyone in that report was a minor. He came clean about he had done both times.
