All about Frederick: Introduction
It's been almost five years since we were doing updates for a Dillard baby and today we are adding Frederick to the mix.
He was born 7/7/2022 at 5:16pm weighing 7lbs. 6oz. and is 20 inches long. Fun fact his brother, Sam, was born on 7/8/2017. He shares his birthday with his uncle James.
Frederick means “Peaceful Ruler” and Michael means “Gift from God." The name Frederick also holds special meaning for Derick and Jill since it’s Derick’s name with “Fre” added to the front, to make “Fre-derick.” Similarly, Derick’s name is a variation of his late dad’s name, Rick, that his parents created by adding “de” to the front of Rick to spell, “de”-“rick,” literally meaning son “of” (de) Rick. They were excited to settle on the name Frederick and incorporate both Derick’s and his dad’s name, by just adding “Fre” to the beginning of Derick’s name.
The Dillards revealed that his birth was to be by C-section due later this month but he decided to come earlier than expected.

On July 11th, we announced the birth of Derick and Jill's little boy and many of you noticed that the baby was born on July 7, 2022 on James's birthday.

Meet Baby Boy Dillard
We just announced the arrival of Derick and Jill's third son!

Many of our readers might have noticed that Jill's mom and sisters were not in pictures that we shared in late June however Jessa was present at the baby shower.
Jessa revealed that many of the family members had plans that day was not able to attend but Jill does have their love and support.
