Welcome Samuel Scott!

We are so excited to share that Derick and Jill have welcomed their second child into the world today, July 8, 2017. He was born at 1:02pm.

He weighs 9lb and 10oz and is 22 inches long.

Jill had 40 hours of labor and ended up having a C-section.

We will have more soon!

  1. why would they let her go 40 hours in labor when she had a C-Section the first time?!

    1. She might have been trying for a vbac which there is nothing wrong with that.

    2. 40 hours is too long to try for a vbac, she's lucky neither she or her baby died.

    3. Not helpful nor necessary to criticize and/or critique....
We have no idea of the circumstances. Thankfully they (hopefully) are both fine..
Not much has been said about Jill.
We are blessed they have shared information at all.

    5. I'm so happy for them! Babies are blessings! And we don't know how long the water was broken. Speaking from experience, I was in labor for an entire day before they broke my water and let me go another 26 hours before giving me a csection. We do not know the circumstances and all that matters is everyone is happy and healthy!

    6. Not for us to speculate as to what happened, or to judge. So happy that Samuel and Jill are doing well! That's the important part. Congratulations to all! God is good!!!

    7. Dangerous for mom and baby. And now the baby is on antibiotics

    8. Exactly. I'm sure she wanted to try for a V-BAC, but most of the time it's once a c-section always a c-section. Not to mention that you honestly can't have to many c-sections. If she's lucky, she may be able to have 1 or 2 more kids.
