Nine Duggar Weddings

Now that Justin and Claire got married, we decided to share a Duggar wedding flashback including Josh, Jill, Jessa, Jinger, Joy, Joseph, Josiah, John and Justin.
Josh was the first one to get married. 
In 2014, The Duggar family had two weddings. Derick and Jill's wedding was in June while Ben and Jessa's wedding was in November.
Jeremy and Jinger got married in November 2016.
In 2017, The Duggar family would have two weddings. Austin and Joy got married in May.
Josepph and Kendra would get married in September.
The Duggar family would have two more weddings in 2018. Josiah and Lauren got married in June 2018.
John and Abbie would get married in November 2018.
A little over two years before another Duggar wedding would happen when Justin and Clarie got married in February 2021.

Recap: Jinger has a baby


Previously on Counting On, Jinger and Jeremy have decided to be induced at the hospital. The doctor and midwife have started the process slowly while using methods like foley bulb. Jinger invited her sister, Jessa, to the birth but she decided to turn it down but change her mind and will arrive after the baby arrives. Ben and Jessa pack up the boys and head down to meet the baby. Jinger starts Pitocin but her labor is still going pretty so her birth team decide to bring out a puzzle to pass the time.
By the evening time, Jinger is unable to relax and gets an epidural. By 4:37am, she has her baby girl in her arms. Felicity weights in at 8lbs and 3oz. Jeremy has a greater appreciation for the women in gender.
Ben and Jessa leave the hotel room to visit the baby after getting a text. Jinger is thrilled to see her sister. The couple introduce the rest of the family to the baby through video chat.  Jim Bob reveals that it feels like they are having grandbaby after grandbaby and they are so bless.
Jinger says that it’s sweet to change her own baby girl and gets to do everything.
Meanwhile, Josiah and Lauren are off for their honeymoon. They are heading to Austria with a stop over in London. They reveal that they are heading there because of the connection to the Sound of Music and Lauren is a fan.
Josiah and Lauren are ask if they have notice any changes. Lauren says that he snores and rolls around a lot in his sleep as Josiah has not notice anything negative about Lauren.
On their second day there, they take a hotrod tour. If you are wondering what a hotrod is, it’s a small one person vehicle is similar to a go-cart. Lauren reveals that she has not been pulled over however Josiah has. He admits that he has not had a ticket stick to his record through. After their tour, they head to get a snack. Neither one is much of a coffee drinker and Lauren has never try it since the smell gives her a headache. Josiah thinks it’s pretty good.
On another day, they head for a Sound of Music bike tour. As many of you know, that Lauren’s favorite movie is Sound of Music and Josiah has watched it many times. He says that they can relate to the Von Trapps and their lives.
The tour has them acting out of some of the scenes and it’s a dream come true for Lauren however acting is a bit of a stretch for her. She reveals that she is not much of an actress and it feels goofy to act things out.
One of the producers ask the couples what their favorite movie are is. Joseph says Sergeant York. Jeremy says a Beautiful Mind. Ben says Woodlawn. Kendra reveals War Room is her favorite movie.
Josiah reveals that the family had a lot of restrictions growing up and they still have them. Jessa adds that they don’t watch a ton of movies since her father did not want to stifle their creativity. They have a lot of childhood memories that were not in front of tv.
Josiah and Lauren dress up in Austrian clothing and visits a family that live in the mountains. They enjoy a delicious meal from the farm. Lauren says that they were able to communicate well with a language barrier.
Josiah and Lauren are off to return home and enjoy their new life as husband and wife.

Recap: Love is in the air


Jinger is getting closer to her due date. She hopes to have the baby soon so she can avoid having a big baby like her sisters. Jeremy makes a spicy Indian dish that makes everyone start coughing and sputtering. From what people have heard that spice is supposed to help get things started but it doesn’t work.
Back home, the crew has a few of the siblings try different levels of hot sauce and Jason wins the challenge.
John and Abbie have been courting for the past few months and they are ready to take the next step. John reveals that they have felt that they knew each other forever after one week of courting. John even introduced her to the family as his girlfriend after two weeks.
Abby reveals that John has been very steady and nothing riles him since he likes to have fun. The couple has been able to see each other every weekend. John reveals that the more he gets to know Abby the more he loves her.
John is getting ready for the propose to her and ends up getting help from a photographer, Lori Blythe who works in Fredericksburg, Texas. John is hoping to propose in Texas, so it works out prefect.
John and Jana travel to Oklahoma. John shares that his sister has been his wing woman for years and is a blessing. Abbie along with her sisters, Maggie and Carinna, are making peach salsa. Abbie reveals that John has been very romantic by buying her flowers and painting her nails for her. While Abbie is cooking, John comes up behind and surprises her, he reveals that she needs to pack a bag so they can go on a journey.
They head up to Texas where Lori is setting up the hanger for the proposal. John and Abbie reveal their courtship has been different than his siblings. They have been giving each other side hugs and showing affection. They arrive at the airport and have dinner before heading to the hanger. Jana and Maggie hang back when they arrive at the hanger. John asks her to marry him and she says yes. They have a few frontal hugs after it and he is so excited for the engagement. The photographer does a photo session to showcase this wonderful moment.
Meanwhile, Jinger is currently 38 weeks pregnant with her first child. She has invited her sisters (Jana and Jessa) and their friend Laura. They are going to set up the nursey. They need to get out all the beds and Jeremy’s soccer jerseys to the garage to make room for baby girl. The couple has four bedrooms: One is the master, office, guest room and now the nursey.
Jeremy reveals that he wasn’t prepared to have his jerseys removed just like his books being locked in a closet.
One of the producers asked Jana if she feels bad for Jeremy and she says no since he is adding another little girl into his life. First, he was adding Jinger to his life and now he is adding a baby girl so it’s more precious than his soccer jerseys.
Jinger admits that she didn’t have a vision and she just left it to the girls. The theme is southwestern. Jeremy and Jinger head to San Antonio to check on the baby. Her birth team will feature Jeremy, Michelle, Jana, Laura and Jeremy’s mom. Jeremy’s father will be in the hospital but not in the room. Jinger reveals that she wants her mom there because she has been through it for many times and is the biggest comfort.
Three days before her due date, Jinger heads to the hospital to get induced. Jeremy reveals that he was not nervous and anxious for his wife. He is more anxious for himself and hopes that he can be the strength that she needs him to be.

Recap: Joy gets engaged

Derick and Jill invite Derick's side of the family over to the guest house. They are getting ready for another short visit to Central America before baby #2 arrives. The couple decides to give Derick's mom their keepsakes for right now until they return. The couple announces their son's name which will be Samuel Scott. They say that Samuel was the first judge of Israel and it also means hears from God. Jill has a lot to do on her to-do list and has the girls come over to help her. Derick decides that it's time to cut his hair since it's viewed differently in Central America so he has his wife cut his hair. Derick thinks that it's going to be hard to adjust to short hair again. Jill reveals that she is sad about the haircut but also like changes.
Jinger decides to put together a care package to send to her family back home. She buys many things like clothing to food. When the package arrives to the Duggar family home, everyone is thrilled to get it. They are missing Jinger so much.
It's time to see the Dillard family off. Jeremiah says that it's hard to see one sibling missing. Derick and Jill film a small clip on the way down to Central America. When they arrive to Central America, they are greeted by many friends and it's a joyful reunion.
Austin is getting ready to propose to Joy since now his house just sold. He enlist the help of his father and Aaron, who is a close friend, to haul the items that he needs for the proposal. They managed to get everything ready.
To keep Joy distracted, Jessa has her come over to help with the kids. Jessa says that her sister is great with the little ones and loves helping. Joy reveals that they have both agree to allow God to control the size of their family. Right before the proposal, Joy returns home to pick up Jennifer and Johannah since she thinks that it's a horseback riding outing. Austin says that she makes him feel complete and calms him down. After they have been riding for a while, Austin has them stretch their legs and ask the girls to run ahead. Austin blindfolds Joy to head to the proposal site. He asks her to marry him and she says yes. The ring has a diamond in it that has been in the family for five generations.
Austin's father appears and gives the couple a big hug before allowing the couple to enjoy the dinner cooked by his friend, Aaron.
Later on, Joseph heads to ask Kendra's father permission to start courting and he agrees to it. The boys reveal that they have been praying and talking about entering a courtship for a while.

Duggar engagement timeline

Now that the family has celebrated Joy and Austin's big day, we decided to take a look back at the Duggar past engagements. The family loves to do short engagements (Example: two to four months).

Josh and Anna got engaged on June 23, 2008 which if you know that day is her birthday. They were engaged for 95 days. They finally said I do on September 26, 2008.

Derick and Jill got engaged on April 9, 2014. They were engaged for 73 days making it the shortest Duggar engagement. They got married on June 21, 2014.

Ben and Jessa got engaged on August 15, 2014. They were engaged for 78 days. They got married on November 1, 2014.

Jeremy and Jinger got engaged on July 26, 2016. They were engaged for 102 days making it the longest Duggar engagement.  They got married on November 5, 2016.

Austin and Joy got engaged on March 2, 2017. They were engaged for 85 days. They got married on May 26, 2017.

Joseph and Kendra are the newest Duggar engagement. They got engaged on May 26, 2017. They have been engaged for 12 days.

Recap: Proposal in the city

The group are visiting Jeremy's family and  are enjoying their time. The double couples head to the lake where the girls were shorts since it will be easier for them to do Kayaking. Jessa reveals that the girls normally wear skirts but there are times where they will wear something else instead.
Jeremy reveals that he loves seeing Jinger in the skirts and dresses and thinks she is beautiful but also thought it was cool seeing her in shorts.
The group heads to New York City to visit Grandpa and Grandma Vuolo and Jinger gets a hug from Grandma. She also sees some photos of Jeremy when he was a baby. Jinger gets a cooking lesson from grandma. Grandma reveals that she learned after she got married how to make this kind of food. Everyone enjoys the meal.
Jeremy manages to get some tickets to the soccer game. He used to play goal keep on the team. Jinger reveals that she loved walking on to the field. The couple got to enjoy dinner with Luis and his wife Cara.
The next day, Jeremy heads to give the ring to his friend and he will take it to the proposal  site. The group headed to New York City for the special day.  Jeremy tries to make sure that he throws her off by having a photographer take photos. Ben is there with Jinger and Jeremy. He is worried that the rain will ruin it.  The skies clears up in time.
The couple gets a special song "Come thou Fount". Jeremy thinks that she did not put it together until he got down to one knee to ask her. She says yes.
Ben comes out and congratulate the couple. He and Jeremy reveal all the plans that came with engagement. Michelle and Jessa show up and congratulate the new engaged couple.
Jana calls a family meeting to renovate the guest house. Jana gives her list to her siblings. Joe and John David joke up that they will be used to honey to do list  when they get married.
Anna shows up to the house and sees all the work that has been done. She manages to play Joy to the world with one finger. She reveals that she has been practicing hard.
Jana and Anna share a very good relationship. Jana says that they have been like sisters and now that they live in the same state. They get to spend a lot of time together.
Anna says that Jana has been a big help for the past year of troubles. Anna knows that her sister-in-law will make an amazing wife one day but for right now she needs her.
Derick and Jill are packing up to come for the next four months, Lord willing. Jill reveals that there will be two weddings that they will be here depending on the wedding dates.  Derick and Jill say that they will miss the friends that they have made while in Central America.
