Recap: Joy gets engaged

Derick and Jill invite Derick's side of the family over to the guest house. They are getting ready for another short visit to Central America before baby #2 arrives. The couple decides to give Derick's mom their keepsakes for right now until they return. The couple announces their son's name which will be Samuel Scott. They say that Samuel was the first judge of Israel and it also means hears from God. Jill has a lot to do on her to-do list and has the girls come over to help her. Derick decides that it's time to cut his hair since it's viewed differently in Central America so he has his wife cut his hair. Derick thinks that it's going to be hard to adjust to short hair again. Jill reveals that she is sad about the haircut but also like changes.
Jinger decides to put together a care package to send to her family back home. She buys many things like clothing to food. When the package arrives to the Duggar family home, everyone is thrilled to get it. They are missing Jinger so much.
It's time to see the Dillard family off. Jeremiah says that it's hard to see one sibling missing. Derick and Jill film a small clip on the way down to Central America. When they arrive to Central America, they are greeted by many friends and it's a joyful reunion.
Austin is getting ready to propose to Joy since now his house just sold. He enlist the help of his father and Aaron, who is a close friend, to haul the items that he needs for the proposal. They managed to get everything ready.
To keep Joy distracted, Jessa has her come over to help with the kids. Jessa says that her sister is great with the little ones and loves helping. Joy reveals that they have both agree to allow God to control the size of their family. Right before the proposal, Joy returns home to pick up Jennifer and Johannah since she thinks that it's a horseback riding outing. Austin says that she makes him feel complete and calms him down. After they have been riding for a while, Austin has them stretch their legs and ask the girls to run ahead. Austin blindfolds Joy to head to the proposal site. He asks her to marry him and she says yes. The ring has a diamond in it that has been in the family for five generations.
Austin's father appears and gives the couple a big hug before allowing the couple to enjoy the dinner cooked by his friend, Aaron.
Later on, Joseph heads to ask Kendra's father permission to start courting and he agrees to it. The boys reveal that they have been praying and talking about entering a courtship for a while.

Back in March, The Duggars announced two surprising announcements by announcing Joy's engagement to Austin and Joseph's courtship to Kendra.

Recently, the two couples went on a double date and took a snapshot.

Someone has won Jinger's heart and We could not be more excited to get to know him.

Jeremy was born on September 5, 1987 making him 28 years old. He plays soccer and he loves the Lord.  He is friends with Ben and Jessa!

Jeremy and Jinger have known each other since May 2015 but recently started courting.

You can be sure to follow their journey on Season 2 of Courting on that starts this summer!

Courtship Update: Sad News

This is our last update on Josiah and Marjorie!

Many of you have asked us about Josiah and Marjorie.

Both Josiah and Marjorie have enjoyed getting to know each other and to build their friendship over the past months.

We are so grateful that they each are seeking the Lord’s will for their future.

A few weeks ago Marjorie and Josiah agreed to end their courtship, keeping in step with what they believe the Lord’s will is.

Both are thankful for the time getting to know each other, and their families continue to enjoy each other’s company and close friendship.

As parents we are very pleased to see two young people searching out their futures with God's will as their first priority!

Josiah and Marjorie are still courting. I can't believe that they have been courting for three months!

Recap: Duggars Say I Do

All the married couples (Jim Bob, Michelle, Josh, Anna, Derick, Jill, Ben and Jessa) and Sierra are sitting down to talk about their weddings and their advice for planning it.
Jill and Jessa sent out a lot of invitations because they wanted to make sure they did not leave out anyone. Ben and Jessa wanted to make sure that they kept their wedding cost down so that way they can spend it on their honeymoon. Ben and Jessa ordered online and reused Jill's decorations.
At his wedding, Ben forgot Jessa's wedding ring and had to called Jim Bob. Jim Bob gave him the wrong ring at first and then gave him the right one.
During Jill and Derick's engagement, Jill wanted to be there for her fiance and mother-in-law. Jill's sister stepped in and help out a lot.
During Derick and Jill's wedding, Michelle made sure that her youngest girls and granddaughter stay still and quiet.
Josh and Anna wanted to make sure that they kept their wedding as cheap as they could. They did not have their invites match at all and made sure that their families had the same design. Anna actually wore her sister and she made her own veil and dresses for the bridesmaids.
During Josh and Anna's wedding, John David played a prank on his brother. He knew that they had put the weddings somewhere safe.
Jackson was joking about his plans to play pranks at Justin's wedding. The producers asked Justin will he do the same to Jackson, He said that he doesn't know but maybe will take his girl.
Jim Bob and Michelle had planned their wedding on a strict budget. Their kids have only had short engagements but their parents waited about seven months to marry. Michelle had made her own bouquet and cake and their wedding was really small.
When Jim Bob and Michelle renewed their vows after 25 years of marriage, the kids were in the wedding party. Michelle was also pregnant with Josie at the time.
At the end of the episode, they played a game of how well do you know your spouse and it was revealed that Jim Bob doesn't know the color of his wife's toothbrush.
Jim Bob and Michelle only have 16 more weddings to plan and Josiah is the only one that is courting, so there is a chance that his wedding is next.

Get to know Marjorie Jackson

Many of our fans want to know more about Josiah's girlfriend and here it is.

Marjorie is 17 years old and that makes her  just one year younger than Josiah. She is the oldest daughter of Greg and Analucia. She has four younger sisters.
She met Josiah during Spanish lessons and then caught Josiah's eye during a mission trip this past December.
The courting is schedule to air this season of 19 kids and counting and look for a special announcement from the family regarding the courtship.

Detials about Josiah's courtship!

The Duggars are back in the news! As previously posted on our blog, Josiah is in a courtship with Marjorie Jackson. They started courting on April 6, 2015. If you remember that date, it's the same date that Derick and Jill welcomed their son, Israel David, into the world. 

Josiah and Marjorie talk about how they met when Josiah was learning Spanish from her mother. 

We are excited to see where this courtship will lead. Maybe it will be another Duggar wedding. Josiah is the fourth child to enter a courtship.

One year ago!

Derick and Jill started to court one year ago today. Now they are married and expecting their first child due in four months!

Ben Seewald moves into the Duggar guest house!

The Duggars have a new person living in their house well their guest house.

"He moved up here a few weeks ago," Jim Bob, 49, tells PEOPLE exclusively. "It has been really good. He has been able to spend a lot more time with Jessa and our family. We have a guesthouse in front of our house, with a shower and everything, separate from the main house."

　

Ben even works for Jessa's father while he keeps doing his college classes


"I'm very excited that Ben is moving in today," Jessa says in the clip. "I think it will be awesome to get to spend more time with Ben and see him on a daily basis instead of once or twice a month."

"Ben was living four hours away in Hot Springs with his parents," Jim Bob says. "After Michelle and I were talking about it, we have so many projects to do that we need help for – everything from construction projects to keeping the grass mowed to putting roof on a building, paperwork and things like that – and we asked him if he would be interested in moving up here so that Jessa and his relationship could be really accelerated. He was all for it and his parents were happy about it."
Chaperones?

"They always have a chaperone," Jim Bob explains. "It has just worked out great. It is a little more labor intensive for Dad – we did set a curfew. By midnight, every night, we need to make sure everybody is back in their place. Jessa and Ben have set up their own courtship standards. They did not hold hands until they got engaged. After they got engaged, they started holding hands. Just like Jill and Derick, they will be saving their first kiss for their wedding day.

Love and affection

Derick and Jill also gave their feelings about Ben moving into the family home.

"You're human, and the physical side is there for a reason," Derick says in the clip. "Naturally, it is going to be difficult if you try to refrain from that."

"Any time you are in love and are together, you realize you want to show your love and affection," she says in the clip. "But when you have purposed to keep those protections in your life, you have to remember and have that accountability." Michelle told People.
