Recap: Thrift Store Date Night

Josiah and Lauren accomplices the Seewalds and Duggars (Joseph and Kendra) on a trip to a thrift store date night. They were given a twenty dollar budge and must by an outfit for their significant other to wear at the dinner date. Jeremy and Jinger were not in town but Jinger has a reaction to it. Jinger knows that her husband would have die if they didn't wash the clothes before wearing them that evening.
Jessa, Lauren and Kendra decided on grandpa outfits for the boys while the boys have a lot harder time trying to find outfits. The girls are a little nervous. Lauren reveals that she was worried about Josiah picking her clothes because he loves to play pranks.
Lauren decides to play a prank on Josiah and gets two outfits. One is a presentable outfit while the other consits of pajama pants and a hospital gown. Josiah thinks that the prank outfit is the real outfit and is perturbed but everyone is laughing. He is happy to hear that there is another outfit. Lauren reveals that he thanked her at least twenty times.
Ben buys his wife a knee-length denim dress while Josiah brought a blue knee length dress for Lauren. Since Kendra is pregnant, Joseph picks a maxi skirt with a loose fitting shirt.
The couples head to the Marketplace grill to talk about fostering a close marriage relationship. Ben reveals that he gave Jessa the silent treatment one time because he was upset however he quickly saw how much it hurt her.
Jeremy and Jinger head to the county fair to enjoy their own date night. Jinger reveals that she visited many fairs while growing up however Jeremy did not. He tries to ride a mechanical bull however he ends up falling about twenty seconds into it.
It has been a few weeks since Austin and Joy welcomed their little boy into the world and have been adjusting to parenthood. Joy reveals that she is recovering from her c-section a lot faster than she had expected.
Austin and Joy give Gideon his bath. Joy shares that it has been easier being a mom and then sometimes it's harder than she thought. Due to the fact that Joy has been recovering, Austin got a crash course with diaper changes since he is brand new to it.
Joy gives her husband a lot of praise. Joy reveals that she wants more kids but doesn't see having 18 more children to catch up with their mom. Austin reveals that people keep having babies because they are sleep deprived and don't remember how hard it is.
Jana is preparing for Joy and Kendra's baby shower. Lauren and Laura are helping out and the theme is sip and see which means that they will be able to see Joy's baby and will be celebrating Kendra's pregnancy. Kendra is excited to be a mom however doesn't know if she is prepared to be one. One of the games, both couples feed each other baby food. They also add Josiah and Lauren because it's possible that they will become parents soon.
