Recap: Kendra has a baby

Be sure to check out our recap for Jinger's double surprise and the special announcement on our Bates family blog!
Ben and Jessa host a dinner potluck at their house. Their theme is dinner around the world in which each couple must bring a dish from the country that they went to for their honeymoon. Austin and Joy bring chocolate fondue, Joe and Kendra bring a Greek salad while Ben and Jessa make a chicken fettuccine Alfredo while using Michelle’s recipe. The couple enjoys the meal and talk about life. Austin and Joy share that Gideon sleeps until six am most nights. Austin doesn’t like double dipping, so he makes a rule that there will be no double dipping or eating off the skewers. Ben likes the announcement and knows what germophobe is. Austin reveals that he would call out his mother if she were to double dipped.
Jinger reveals that there were rules about double dipping and you just don’t do that since it’s disgusting.
At the big house, they gather for a joint bachelor and bachelorette party for Josiah and Lauren. The family loves playing fooseball and decide to create a human foosball table. Josiah and Lauren are the goalies and Josiah’s team takes the win.
Just ten days before her due date, Kendra is having some strong and consistent contractions, so her mother and sister come over to help her with the breathing. Kendra has a habit to hold her breath when she is in pain, so the others must remind her to breathe. Kendra’s sister and mother head out to give the expectant parents a chance to sleep but Kendra gets very uncomfortable and leave for the hospital. The contractions are only two minutes apart. Kendra ends up being in labor for about 13 hours before starting to push.
During their hospital stay, the siblings bring over dessert and banners to the house to mark the special occasion. After being released they head over to the big house to show him off.
