Recap: Joseph and Kendra say I do Part 1

Be sure to click here for their wedding day post! Counting On will return this summer to TLC so make sure to click here.

Just one week before their wedding, Joseph is working on getting the house ready to move in. The house is owned by Grandma Duggar since Joseph's father was a child. The family had moved it onto the Duggar property.

Kendra didn't think that they would live this close to the big home but she thinks that Jim Bob and Michelle will be good at keeping the kids not at their house for the first year.

Austin and Joy admit that they are happy to live thirty minutes away from both families.

Renee travels down for a final dress fitting for Kendra. Both Caldwell and Duggar girls gather for the reveal of the dress. Kendra's mother gets a little emotional while seeing her daughter in her dress. She admits that it is hard to let her daughter go.

The older Duggar siblings share their thoughts about Joseph and Kendra. They say that Joseph is humble and loves people as they are while Kendra can change anyone's mood by her laugh.

With the wedding just four days away the Duggar girls (Jana, Jessa, and Joy) make dinner for Jeremy's birthday. They are making spaghetti and meatballs along with salad. Joy shares that she is feeling good since she is in her second trimester. There is a little bump when the girls forget to add the herbs into the meatballs but lucky the sauce saved them.

Laura gathers everyone to make a scrapbook and the bench for the guests to sign them. Josiah is thankful to be on the bench project.

Cindy gathers the team to set up the church. Rehearsal gets underway and it takes a little bit of time trying to get the wedding party arranged on the stage.

During the rehearsal dinner, each member of the families step up and share how the couple has impacted their lives. Lauren says that her sister and herself have been really close and that she treasure the friendship and joy that Kendra has given to the family.

Joy reveals how her brother has helped her during a time in her life where she was struggling in her parents faith and Joseph was there for her as a friend. Joy gives the couple a big hug.

The big day has finally arrived and Joseph has written his siblings a special note and put them on their beds as he walks out of the house. Meanwhile, the girls are getting ready at the Caldwell house for the last time. Joseph reveals that he knows that his wife is going to be the best wife ever since he loves everything about her.

Stay tune for part two of the recap!

  1. Joy was definitely pregnant at that time! Her crying at the rehearsal dinner was too extreme. Hormones!
